MRT Corp

MRT Corp was established in 2011 and is fully owned by the Minister of Finance Incorporated. We are at the forefront of metro rail developments in Malaysia.

In 2017, MRT Corp successfully delivered the country’s first MRT line, the 51km MRT Kajang Line. The company is currently moving full speed to complete the MRT Putrajaya Line, with Phase One targeted to commence operation in mid-2021. The entire MRT Putrajaya Line will be operational in January 2023.

MRT Corp has also been appointed as the Malaysian infrastruture company (InfraCo) for the Rapid Transit System Link (RTS Link) Project between Johor Bahru and Singapore. Civil infrastructure work of the project is scheduled for completion by December 2024 while the full opening of the line is targeted to be in December 2026.

MRT Corp also plans and designs future metro rail networks. In all it’s endeavours, it strives to be the catalyst in urban socio-economic regeneration by way of inclusive metro rail transport system and development of transit-oriented communities.

Pertubuhan Akitek Malaysia (PAM)

Pertubuhan Akitek Malaysia (PAM) – Malaysian Institute of Architects, is the main national professional institute representing architects in Malaysia. PAM’s principal mission statement is to promote the advancement of Architecture and the architectural profession for the betterment of society.

Founded in 1920 as the Institute of Architects Malaya, its name was changed in 1948 to the Federation of Malaya Society of Architects (FMSA), then allied to the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA). Its current name, reflecting Malaysia’s Independence, came about on 20th January, 1967 when PAM was registered with the Registrar of Societies.

The new PAM Centre, a GBI Platinum-rated building was opened on 19 July 2017, the result of an open architectural competition. PAM’s membership consisting of professional architects, graduates and students, is also represented across Malaysia with member chapters in Sabah, Sarawak, Penang (Northern chapter), East Coast and Johor Bahru (Southern chapter).
